One of these days we'll do a schiltron display with two spearmen and twenty knights.

Inauthentic but revenge would be soooo sweet.

Lanark 2006

Since Goose is posting - and it was his deviousness as archery commander that produced the results I'd better post a picture of the presentation to Hilary Robinson of the first Lanark Silver Arrow.
A 3ft long solid silver arrow, mounted on Scottish oak, and worth £2500+, this will be competed for annually at Lanark.

It was designed by my co-organiser at Lanark Peter Campbell, who normally appears in monks garb at re-enactments, the authenticity only betrayed by the Canadian accent.

He learned archery from his father whilst growing up in the Canadian Rockies and is anxious to push archery at Lanark. A jeweller (which followed a spell as a Canadian Mountie!) he designed and made the Lanark Silver Arrow which his company in Lanark , D H McKellar of Scotland, donated to the Lanark Medieval Festival.

Ecce, I'm actually working on revamping the schiltron display, I'll fill you in on the details at Linlithgow.

Me! its my two coloured supertunic. I'll put up another photo today in which you can see both sides of it.
It kept me nice and warm in the evening as well.
