Hi guys, not sure if this is the place to say, " HI " but here we go. I've always had an interest in Operation Granby and over 6 months I've actually started to get some kit together for this period of time. Originally I was looking towards a representation of possibly an RAF Regiment gunner, however I'm not quite sure of the final result now as I've gone for 58 webbing and I'm looking towards a replica sterling SMG. So with set up I'm guessing I wouldn't be looking at a front line unit with this set up. Maybe you guys might have some ideas ?, Living history wise It would be great to wear the kit but I'm guessing this period of time isn't the most popular. Once again if any of you guys are aware of any events in the West Midlands, Midlands area, were this kit would fit in, that would be great.

Are you on Facebook? If so search for Combat Forces 89 you should find plenty of like minded people thjough perhaps slightly earlier than your chosen operation. Also I think they're mostly based slightly north of where you are but not a million miles away.

I am associated with combat forces 89. we cover everything and different nationalities from 1950s to 1990 mainly. we all have different areas of interest either just vehicle based or everything. many of the areas are british, american and now eastern block e.g. NVA and soviet
