mine took twice that long and there's no emboridery on them! I hope you're not going to be putting a dress over them and hiding all that work!!!

They're mostly going to live under a mantua (such is my understanding), so yup, some of it will be hidden, but the stomacher panel will be revealed in all its glory.

Can I be horrid and make a suggestion/ask a question:

The boning under the armholes - does it go right up to the top or have you left an inch or so free for comfort?

In the 18th century they used to put soft leather to bind the lower armhole as this will not rot from sweat in the same way that fabric does. Not that I am suggesting that you do anything other than glow gently, of course!
