:shock: Didn't know Cheshire had that many Boars living wild in the countryside.

The owner of the boar spear is good friends with owner of farm specialising in wild boar and venison. Maybe that's the reason.

A number of the "Burgundian pikemen" in various Schilling piccies are owners of boar spears. I reckon they make an interesting and under enterprated addition to the tally of bills, glaives and halberds that get used.

There are a few boar spears in the Wallace collection in London and more in the Armouries in Leeds - they look nowt like the things most people claim are "boar spears" (they look like they would actually do the job for starters).

Both Andy Kirkham and Paul Binns would be able to make such a thing and it would be nice to see one done properly!

I find the best place to get a bill is on the lower part of my breastplate.

The Beauchamp Pageant is full of lugged spears (I assume that's the same shape as a boar spear), though they may be on slimmer shafts (or perhaps not). They're mixed in with 'English' bills in similar numbers.
