Get Dressed for Battle hourglass gauntlets

Hi there,
Just wondering whether anyone has any experience of the GDFB gauntlets as I am thinking of getting some. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you can afford it, the difference between made-to-measure and off-the-peg is definitely worth it.

Lancaster's Armourie offer a level of inbetween, "munitions" type armour, but still sized to fit.

If you do want to buy off-the-peg guantlets, definitely try them on first. If your hands differ significantly from the guantlets you'll end up getting hurt.

IF you want something with that level of decoration, please get them made to fit you.

Hands are such individual things and ill fitting gauntlets hurt!

No I actually prefer simple gauntlets.. I don't like anything too fancy.. I have munitions grade armour .. I was just trying to find a good deal and I have tried various gauntlets to find that many do not even grip properly and are too stiff..

Most armour needs a little "breaking in", more so for "value" items.

mark Vickers was selling a pair of articulated (not hourglass) gauntlets for something in the region of 130-150, last year, they were excellently made and a great price.

If you value your hands get them made to fit.

I see, well I have got Maxim Suprovich to make some for me out of spring steel. Check out his stuff its really nice! (www.wildarmoury.com)! Gave him my exact hand measurements
