Post by GinaB »

The BL are trying to raise money to aquire a pattern book, this one is a calligrapher's book with alphabets and borders (Jorge if you haven't seen this you MUST) - some terrific pics can be found here http://www.creativereview.co.uk/crblog/ ... ury-style/.

not seen this one, but there are model books and pattern sheets going back hundreds of years before that one, the more the merrier IMHO, esp for that era, notably it uses motifs that predate 1500 by some margin. I spent a 100 quid on a facsimile version of a 13th c one, but don't tell the wife.

thanks for this one Gina, will get round to squinting at it.

Just posted a list of those sorts of model books and pattern sheets too -- for now just at http://larsdatter.com/wordpress/?p=588 but I might set them as a separate linkspage later.

Edited to add: Just posted these as a linkspage -- http://larsdatter.com/modelbooks.htm

I just paid £140 for a urine chart.

If you don't tell my wife Jorge, I won't tell yours.
