His arms were

Or 3 chevronels sable the centre one charged with a lion passant of the first

(chevronels are thinner than chevrons. "of the first" in this case means or)

It is possible that other members of the family, then or earlier/later, carried variants of these arms (a different Walter perhaps?)

Incidentally I can find no trace anywhere of an English blazon "Or, two chevrons sable".

Walter de Manny bore at the 2nd Dunstable tournament (1347) and the siege of calais (1345-8 ) Or three chevronels sable, like this only with black instead of red Image
On the second(middle stripe) a lyon passant of the first, that is one of these Image squeezed into the pointed bit of your chevronel.

Another roll has a lyon passant guardant Image on the premier chevronel(top)

Jeynes Ordinary it is recorded as Or two chevronels sable.

That's my score to date. Three. I haven't killed anybody for years, and don't intend to ever again.'

Oh and remember that heraldry then was a lot freer and more art based than the rigid rules that are in place today and they could ALL be right with him using different arms on seperate occasions.
Terry de Manny bore Or three chevronels sable (ashmole and Jeynes Ord) but then so does Richard Sutton of Norfolk in the same rolls.
