Kelmarsh 2007-who was selling hose/stockings?

Post by Miss Costello »

I bought two pairs from a trader for about £6 each. They were mainly brighter colours but I bought a grey pair for WW2.
Can anyone help? I even rang EH to ask for a list of traders.

Harumph....

Can you recall what else the trader was selling? as this will help narrow things down fairly quickly....

I don't remember-the hose/stockings were all laid out in big boxes at the front of the stall. I think she did a lot of her own dyeing and she was in period dress.

If they were knitted wool my mony would be on Paul Meekins Books (as at Kelmarsh the Stockings, Bandoliers and leatherwork stall was seperate from the books.

If they were the thiner cotton type then I'd suspect Quatermasterie (who were selling all sorts of stuff....Pottery, buttons, fabric, horn items etc etc.
