Has anyone know a website link for sheet music of tudor peasant music such as the horses bruel or ah poor bird?

The SCA has masses & masses of early music, transcribed, written and as music files you can listen too. Most are dance tunes, but there are some songs too if you search around.

The SCA stands for Society for Cretaive Anachromisms (excuse my spelling) in case you haven't come across it before, there are groups in the UK but it is mainly based in the USA. As the title suggests, although there are lots of people there who are really interested in historical accuracy & authenticity & who do huge amounts of really useful research, there are no restrictions as there are at Kentwell, so people in the SCA can introduce fantasy & other historical time periods into what they do. Just bear that in mind & you'll be fine!

If in doubt about whether something you find is suitable for using at Kentwell, just ask someone like Tamsin over on the KW yahoo group & you'll soon find out!

Anything from Ravenscroft's Melismata, Deuteromelia and Pammelia is ok

They're popular songs collected at the beginning of the seventeenth century but most if not all are a lot older (exist in otherearlier manuscript sources) so can be used for any Kentwell year
Incidentally, London's Burning is authentic (in a 1570s manuscript collection) with the words: 'Scotland, it burneth, make haste, make haste, fire fire, fire fire, pour on more water'

Be sure to have a look at Busy Mole Music's website - they have a number of books which would probably interest you (and, no, I don't work for them!). I just learned of their existence from another thread in this forum (music for 15-string Medieval harp).
