Handwritten sheet music - mainly late medieval

Ok so who would want some?

It was suggested by Frances that I do this, now I can slot in a couple of pieces.

I will need a good notation to follow, ie the right characters in the right places, plus a transcript of the verse if there is any. I do not read music but I can copy it.

They will not be illuminated but decently drafted music sheets to use at events. Right inks and paper etc. Either mono or red staves and black notation.

The first person who wants one will get it at a very reduced price as I want develop this aspect of written papery items somewhat. Prices based on amount of text.

Also thinking of supplying some blank sheets with the staves pre-drawn, red or black - would any of you muso types be interested?

I'd be interested in this, I think. Are you talking about late 15thC notation?

Hello Tamsin,

ideally I would like some to copy first off, I have trawled around but the one place I could them is a registration by application, so if you have some I would appreciate it.

I am looking for 'secular' items, ie day to day music sheets not girt big antiphonals etc.

So something like 'Bring us in good ale', c1470 (which also has the Religious words for the same song 'Nowell nowell this is the salutacion' written underneath) would work well.
The only problem with doing it in authentic notation is that it'll be hard for those who aren't used to the style (4 line stave, strange clefs, ligatures, no barlines) to read, which may limit sales... Wonder if there's a way of faking it!

Happy enough to do it on a commission basis, better in some ways but need to produce an exemplar, as with my other work to prove it can be done.
On top of Frances' idea others have asked if I do it, very occasionally, not a huge queue though

Ah, Wayland, my question to you would be:

How long is the score and how wordy? 1812 overture or a Sumer is Icumen in?

And on what, paper or parchment, mono or red and black, ie red staves.
