Shawm advice

Post by Lady Cecily »

Would anyone living in the North be able to give some shawm advice/lessons to a young lady. She can get the notes but really wants to talk to somone about the inticacies of playing.

May be worth contacting the Early Music shop in Bradford they may be able to provide some teachers?

Or possibly the organisation called NEMA

Also I wonder if these early music groups could be of help
We are members of the Midlands Early Music forums these addresses are for some of the northern ones. Depends where you are.

Has she tried contacting the York Waites? They play shawms, bombards, crumhorns and every other jolly instrument with great pizazz.
