Hi I'm looking for a re-enactment group to join as I am moving to Preston for university and would like to continue.
Currently all of my portrayals are from the second world war but I am interested in a variety of periods (mainly post 1700).
thanks in advance.

WW2 is well represented on wwiireenacting.co.uk/forum/ Whether there is anything interesting in your area...
Re: looking for a group to join in Lancashire
Thanks for the suggestions so far.
Bart, thanks for the suggestion however whilst I do find the medieval period interesting I don't find it interesting enough to re-enact from that era.
De Coverley, thanks for that suggestion I shall do that.
Any more suggestions of groups would be greatly appreciated.

How 'Post 1700' or close to?
I ask as there is a good Rev War presence in the area.
Both the 47th (Lancashire) and 22nd (Cheshire) event and recruit in the area.
I'm QM for the 47th if you'd like any additional info.
I'm also Chairman of Lace Wars if the Mid C18th takes your fancy?
Lace Wars specialise in the final Jacobite Rebellion of 1745/46.

There is also the 5/60th Rifles, a Napoleonic group. We are based more Midlands way, but recruit from all over the country and appear nationwide:

If you're interested in WW1 I run a cavalry troop, always on the look out , although riding is useful, not always required
