New Re-enactor looking for a society to join nr Leeds

Post by fie85 »

Hi all,

I would really like to get involved in medieval re-enactment and would like to join a local (or local-ish) society. If anybody could advise who / how to get in touch as a starting point I would be extremely grateful :-).

Thank you
Fie

Hi - whereabouts are you based? Do you have your own transport?

Near Leeds I hope means West Yorkshire :D
There’s a country in Europe where they treat their ex soldiers with pride no waits for medical treatment after injuries received during service, no amensia from the government. Cant for the life of me recall where it is but I know exactly where it is not.

Swords of Mercia are based around Sheffield and North Derbyshire. We have twice weekly training sessions which you can attend if combat is your thing. We have members as far afield as Cheshire and Glaucestershire.

You can find us on Facebook.

When you say medieval, do you have a particular period in mind?

The medieval era stretches from 410 AD to 1500AD

That's not a new dawn, that's some Norman bastard burning down your village
