You're at Whitby Abbey on August bank holiday aren't you? I'm working there then and been looking for something 14th century so might grab you at the end :)

As far as I know, he got some inspiration from it and maybe stole some names from the churchyard next door. If people want to visit the place it's based on, fine. I just wish some of the public didn't think Dracula a. existed and b. lived in Whitby.

Don't know about the museum but we've got a group of actors doing a version of Dracula at weekends :D

I've tried making enquiries about joining for the past couple of months - emails, phone calls to the number on the website (always goes straight through to voicemail), texts, even tried joining the forum on the Armourials' website, and had no response. The Events page on their website hasn't been updated this year. Have they ceased operating, or all been slaughtered by Vikings? :)
