Medieval & Victorian swordsmanship in West London

Postby Matt Easton » Wed Jun 29, 2011 11:49 am

Schola Gladiatoria in West London (Ealing) is one of the UK's oldest and best known historical fencing clubs and holds weekly classes attracting between 20 and 30 students of all ages (over 18) and experience levels. We have members with backgrounds in sport fencing, Asian martial arts, reenactment and with no related background at all.

If you'd like to learn more about medieval longsword (according to Fiore dei Liberi's treatises) or infantry officer's sabre (according to John Musgrave Waite's method) then feel free to drop in any Tuesday. We also have occasional classes in other weapons, such as rondel dagger, bayonet and spear. Equipment is provided for beginners. OR
Follow us on Facebook:

We also have a chapter in Bradford, studying mostly Liechtenauer tradition longsword and infantry sabre according to Tailor, and hold additional classes in Manchester.

We can also provide lectures, demonstrations and seminars and in this capacity we have helped several new groups get started in their own localities.
