Medieval re-enactment societies in sussex

Postby festering » Fri Sep 24, 2010 12:11 pm

Hi all,

Myself and fiance have been looking for medieval re-enactment societies who are based in sussex or at least have members who train in sussex. we are interested in the living history aspects as well as the skirmishing etc.

we have found that the Wolfshead bowmen are in sussex but they are not very much into the living history side and they are specialised in archery.

any names or links to sussex societies would be much appreciated.

thanks in advance.

Billy :)

BIG period care to boil it down to a date ?

There’s a country in Europe where they treat their ex soldiers with pride no waits for medical treatment after injuries received during service, no amensia from the government. Cant for the life of me recall where it is but I know exactly where it is not.

HI Nigel,

1300 to 1500 or is this too big a gap i don't really know whether there are specific dates of periods people reenact.

Raven Tor are based around Chichester. They concentrate on 15th but do a bit of 12th and 18th as well.
