A friendly Norfolk based living history group that portrays a millitary encampment during the reign of the 3 Edwards.
A little about us.
The Norwich & Norfolk Mediaeval Association (NANMA) was founded in 1975 by a number of individuals who were interested in various aspects of fourteenth century English history and who wanted to enjoy it by doing more than simply reading about it.
The Association started out by doing unrehearsed foot combat, the first combat taking place on Mousehold Heath. They had to provided themselves with costume, accessories, weapons and armour and were able to present unrehearsed combat displays between 2 or more knights, to the public, watched over by the ladies sitting in a tented gallery.
The association has gone from strength to strength and is now able to present a tented field encampment of various traders and characters indulging in assorted skills and pastimes.
We are always open for recruitment, so please visit the website or drop us an email.
