53rd Welsh LHG (1939-45)

One of the newest, fastest growing British Infantry re-enactment groups in Wales - portraying the Welsh Tommy in 53rd (Welsh Division)

Decided to finally pop over and promote ourselves on here. We are a rapidly growing group focusing upon the Welsh Tommy in 53rd Welsh Division. Since our formation in late 2008 (as the Royal Welch Fusiliers Re-enactment - RWFR), we have grown and now boast 12-14 members representing:
4th Battalion Royal Welch Fusiliers (South Wales based)
6th Battalion Royal Welch Fusiliers (North Wales/Birmingham based)
1/5th Battalion Welch Regiment (Mid-Wales/Cardiff Area)

Our group's ages range from 19-26 and we focus upon authenticity and positive interactive attitudes for public shows. You'll always find us interacting, chatting, laughing and offering briefings on kit, equipment, unit history and tactics.

We boast the widest amount of historical research material of any group in Wales - from full War Diary copies, to the individual day to day accounts of administration and orders relating liberating non-standard kit!

We are a very friendly lot and can easily be contacted on our above website, or via email: 439824@swansea.ac.uk

We are constantly refining our impression and expanding our focus areas... currently looking for brave men for anti-tank work and support roles, alongside the ever in demand infantry!

If you want to join or have any enquiries about attending your event, don't hestitate to contact us!

Just popped a few pics in of recent events...

We are also on Facebook! With Fan and Group pages :o
