The Knights of Skirbeck is a medieval re-enactment society, based in Boston, Lincolnshire, portraying a small household, primarily during the reign of Henry IV 1399-1413 (The King was born at Bolingbroke castle - 16 miles from Skirbeck.)

Although initially we focused entirely on combat, we now also have interactive living history displays & demonstrations including food & cookery, flour making, story telling, games, crafts, tools and musical instruments, as well as our own wise woman. Naturally we continue to give demonstrations of weapons & armour, take part in large battles and encourage visitors to handle various weapons, as well as try on armour.

Members tend to portray middle or lower class characters, though all members are free to choose any role or status they have or can get suitable kit for. Naturally we help new members all we can with loan kit, patterns, contacts etc. Members come from all walks of life, and vary in age from under 10 to over 50 & we are very 'family friendly'.

All combat is non choreographed and often competitive, and we do allow female members to take part in combat.

As well as small shows, which can be anywhere from a local horse sanctuary to a school, a museum or a castle, we like to take part in larger multi-group events. Two of last years' favourite were Bodelwyddan Castle and the Phoenix Medieval Alliance event near Downham Market.

We have also provided honour guards and helped with the entertainment at weddings & anniversaries.
