Hi Alexandra,
are you taking part at Kentwell?
If so you get one answer, if not you get another......

(People have put a lot of time and researchi into helping Kentwell participants out and I don't think their work should be broadcast to the world for free.) That's what copyright was invented for etc.

If you are just a curios bysatander I can point you to the pictures they used to work everything out.

what should i wear- i know i should wait untill i get the notes from the open day but i want to get some rough idea

Ha ha. I know who you are

If you are going to be a house maid hang on because you get special notes and will probably be asked to dress in livery.
If you end up in the kitchen or dairy you wear ordinary clothes and if you end up in the hovel you should distress your ordinary clothes which you have just proudly made which will probably distress you.

Find, on the Web (but a book with quality photos is better), pictures from Bruegel - the Wedding or Feast and the Peasants dance are the best.
See if you can find the Wedding (or Feast) at Bermondsey by Hofnagel for stuff slightly more up the social scale (matching house maid/keeper style)

Ahhhh, I see. Are they wearing a skirt and a top, or a dress? I think there wearing some kind of white(ish) hat (a coif?I think thats what theyre called...)
And an apron.this is how i took them to be the working class, there are some other girls on there wearing no hat and just a dress, would they be the younger ones? I read this thing about young virgins being able to wear their hair loose.
Anyhow, i will be doing some more research.
