From Toile to Block - A course by Sarah Thursfield

Postby ValTarrant » Sun Apr 13, 2008 5:43 pm

I've just come back from the course above and wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it and how useful it was for me. I've come away with a much better idea of making a block for someone and also a personal block. Also some ideas about how to turn this into a pattern for a variety of kirtles and gowns.

Sarah was very happy to answer all our questions and to go over points until we understood them. I'll certainly be looking out for more courses by her in my area though I understand that she will travel anywhere there is a demand and enough people to make it viable, so if you want your own course..... you only have to organise it!

We've had Sarah visit our group for several talks now and I always learn something new. You can learn a lot, just by chatting to her, but the lessons are very good.

Ooh I didn't know she did courses...
Am currently wrestling with my personal block... It's really hard to fit it on yourself!
