This forum is for reviews of books, films, TV, music or anything else to do with history in general.

Play Nice: we all know one persons greatest film of all time is another persons historically innacurate disaster - please don't get into silly debates about this - its boring.

BUYING STUFF - SUPPORT LIVINGHISTORY.CO.UK

Incidentally, if you want to order any of the things reviewed here, if you go to the living history main page you can order stuff from Amazon and they send me a small amount of money each time you do - which all goes in the LH pot - so thanks in advance - Cal.

Maybe if we put the ISBN number things we review Cal, could make a script that could auto link to the search engine and make our life really easy, what about it Cal.

A Pilgrim's Journey

Post by steve stanley »

OK,I'll start this off as I got a new book from the US this morning...."A Pilgrim's Journey vol2" by Mark Baker.
This is a collection of the author's articles for Muzzleloader magazine..goes into great detail on his personna of a 1760's-70's frontiersman...lots of reprinted first-hand accounts, lots of "How to's",& some fascinating descriptions of his own trips into the forests.....obviously a minority interest in the UK,but a very nice addition to my collection on the period(and No,it's not a "gun-nut" type volume)....
