The Longbow

Mike Loades. Osprey Books 2013. ISBN 978-1-78200-085-3.
It is an Osprey book but one without the wealth of illustrations that normally makes their publications halfway worthwhile. Some of the stuff Mike Loades concludes does not sit with me, like longbows being used on horseback or that they were essentially a close quarter weapon, but I admit being biased as when I met the man I came away thinking he was a complete tit so don't take my word for it.
