A Song of Ice and Fire

Wondered if any of you out there were fans of this series by George RR Martin. Filming recently finished on a pilot episode - the cast list includes Sean Bean and Jennifer Ehle.

I know some folk who did the extras work- there's already one series well in progress and another series in the planning stages, 20 episodes total it was rumoured.

Excellent. I knew about the pilot episode, but I understood there was some doubt as to whether they'd progress much further. As ever, budget was rumoured to be the reason. I know HBO are doing it, but apparently there is a need for BBC support as well.

Either way, it's good they've finally done it. The cast looks pretty reasonable...
