Stained glass panel

Postby Mrs. Babyjuice » Wed Jun 14, 2006 10:44 pm

Hopefully you will see a pic of a panel, made for a viking roundhouse feature. I'm trying this attachment thingy for the first time so here goes...?!

Once I've got the hang of this, I'll post some more in the Pictures section. (If there's such a thing as computer-dyslexia, then I'm at the worst end of it!)

Wow! Mrs B that is gorgeous! Really atmospheric and a great use of colour, I bet it is wonderful when the sunlight hits it? When in the day does the sun get onto it - morning or evening?

Just the sort of thing a bard will use it for inspiration - you'll have a story written based on it soon I bet!

Very nice, did you make it using lead came? It's just your sig mentions copperfoil and I was just wondering,

Lots of red....expensive, but very nice.

Thanks :D

It's a south-facing panel, so gets bags of sunlight and is indeed very atmospheric. Hot colours tend to be more expensive than cold ones due to the chemicals in them (which create the colour) - final cost all depends on what the client wants. It's bordered in came to fix it into the aperture rebate securely. I make copperfoil stained glass rather than leaded because I can get more detail in using the glass itself to create the image - personal preference; I create a representation in glass of documented historical images amongst many other things, the possibilities are endless!
