Commission for Me Ol' Dad!

Post by Frances Perry »

This is my latest piece - a pyrography for my dad's birthday - it was in February and I have been putting it off and procrastinating until now!!

It shows two medieval artisans pinning a barrel for what appears to be a very early barrel operated piano or harpsichord.

It is about 12 by 18 inches in Maple.

It is my best piece so far - very pleased with it!

Absolutely stunning, Frances - I've long been an admirer of your work, as you know, but this time you have excelled yourself!

Missed this when it was first posted...wow.
Very, very nice work.

Do you use an electric pyrography iron or are there other tools you use?

Aye - I use a heat variable hot wire electric iron rather than a solid tip pen.

Glad you like it!
