Website Video

I was wondering if anyone else here uses video on their website? I have one on my 'Buy Tools' page showing how to use some marble cutting tools. Another good idea I saw was to have one on the Homepage just introducing the company and teeling people what's on the site.

It does seem that people are using it more and more and apparently one of Googles new search programs picks up pages with multimedia content better. I don't think it needs an epic, and so many cameras have a video now.

I'd be interested to hear anyones views on this.

Personally, i avoid websites with flash/video front pages. It generally slows my computer down and all i do is skip ahead anyway. This might not be everyone but i certainly find them annoying. Having them in a seperate area is fine but not first thing.
:-D

I think you're refering to Flash Intro, where the whole page is taken up with nice pretty graphics which, like yourself get ignored by 99.9% of the population who hit the Skip Intro button

What I mean is where you have your normal Home page but part of it has a video. That way visitors to your website can use the normal navigation buttons or watch the video clip for a rundown.

If you believe the research then you've 8 seconds to interest them before they leave the website, a video explanation of what you offer just gives them another option to stay a little longer.

No i know what i meant :-D

Videos or flash intros on the front page of a website, they don't always have to take up the whole page. Your site seems fine as it is tbh, it's tidy and pretty blinking obvious what you do and how i go about booking.
