Anyone selling on DaWanda?

Post by frances »

Has anyone tried this crafts online sales site?

http://en.dawanda.com/

They seem to have French, German and UK people selling hand-made stuff. Not all of it brilliantly designed, but the discussion area seems to be well-used. I was thinking of trying it out.

What do you think?

Hmm. Obviously not.

I tried Ebay a couple of times but hated the beaurocracy.

I was just checking to see if it might be a good place to sell some of the things I have made in the past. They did say that posting is free but that they might start to charge in the New Year.

I've not seen them before, I've stuck a couple of my bits on there just to see what its like- very easy to list items, let's see if they sell!

Thanks for the tip off

Kind thoughts

I too have set up a little shop on DaWanda - following the link here. As you say a lot less complex and burocratic than fleabay - although that may change. My one difficalty is there insistance for everything in Euros, it is not really a curency I am familiar with.
I somewhat get the impression that there are a LOT more sellers there than buyers atm.
There is some stuff in the small print indicating that you (the seller) are responsable for all advertising / spreading the word etc. and there is no help from DaWanda.

That being said I made an e-mail enquirey and recived a proper (not computer generated) responce within 24 hours... good by my recconing (either that or they are that quiet that they have time for such things).

I'll see what views and more importantly sales I get through the site before I sing it's praises too much.
