looking for De Campo
wondering if anyone can help? i have traced my family back to Thoried De Campo Born 1100 possibly France or Italy,this is as much info as i can find on him!! when the family gets to 1235, Norman De Campo takes on his wife Amilas name of Kempe. does anyone know a reason why a man would do this back then?

Blend in locally ? De Campo sounds a bit suss in a country prone to xenophobic attacks, whilst Kempe isn't too different
