Builder finds...

Postby Miss Costello » Thu Sep 15, 2011 4:24 pm

Hi all, my house was built in 1756, but the extension is only 1960s and it's sinking.... The builders came today to dig 'experimental trenches' :wtf: and found all sorts of pottery bits and stone. I love this piece, I'm thinking 17thC, is that about right? I know the area was a bakers and tanners in the 1640s. Any thoughts gladly received. Platter? Bowl? What was the design likely to be?

Kate (stupidly excited by small finds....)
