The World Aflame - The Wars of King George

Post by Mark P. »

This event was held at the Royal Gunpowder Mills on 16th/17th Sept under the auspices of NFOE.
Contingents representing 1740's, 1750's and 1770's all took part and there were three period skirmishes each day.
It was probably the biggest UK C18th event in the last 10 yrs (excluding Napoleonic style French rev Wars events?).
Thanks to NFOE for organising such a good event, I've heard only positive comments from everyone who attended, look forward to doing it again next year.

Unfortunately for Scotty McDouglas, a cold meant that he didn't notice the arrival of Wee Jock "Poo-Pong" McPlop, the man who cleans out the public toilets in Aberdeen, until it was too late, and so he took the fastest way out he could.

As soon as John had uttered the immortal question, "What is worn under the kilt?", he instantly regretted it.
