Awsome photo a friend of mine managed to get. With the blast still only part way up the muzzle. Theres a few thousand pounds of presure in there! Mwahahaha

Think that Balcombe was the best time for me of that particular beast, it was soooo much nicer to stand near it when it went boom (well 20 odd foot away, but the vibrations still made us all wobble).

Still, it's a great photo of a lovely big boom maker.

I am still removing the the debris from my teeth and camera. The following 5 frames show a huge debris cloud comming towards me including the tip of the bush in the foreground. I am now in the very exclusive club of just one member, those who have been kissed by Pyppes Dowghter

Personally I think we should find some land somewhere, build a fortification of various sections from various dates, like a 16th century earthwork in one corner, a medieval wall in another, etc. Then leave it a year for the lime mortart to set somewhat.

Then come back with dozens of cannon and batter it to pieces.
We could call it experimental archeology....

And sell the film rights, and stuff.
Maybe with cameras positioned all over the place we could get lots of shots of the sort that could be used in films.

It's not imposible that someone might find that worth paying for, but I'm guessing that only an MOD range would ever have approval to shoot ball like that.

Anyway BUMP wheres the rest of those pictures?

Still laugh recalling the member of public at rougha, last year who was told to expect a big bang ( ove a hundred yards away) 'yeah, right'. Kaboom, one white as a sheet mop with vertical hair, nice one Don.

Rather like MR Trust did (barring film-work as far as I'm aware)? Videos on display at Fort Nelson. Pretty d@rn impressive too!
