One of these days we'll do a schiltron display with two spearmen and twenty knights.

Inauthentic but revenge would be soooo sweet.

Since Goose is posting - and it was his deviousness as archery commander that produced the results I'd better post a picture of the presentation to Hilary Robinson of the first Lanark Silver Arrow.
A 3ft long solid silver arrow, mounted on Scottish oak, and worth £2500+, this will be competed for annually at Lanark.

It was designed by my co-organiser at Lanark Peter Campbell, who normally appears in monks garb at re-enactments, the authenticity only betrayed by the Canadian accent.

He learned archery from his father whilst growing up in the Canadian Rockies and is anxious to push archery at Lanark. A jeweller (which followed a spell as a Canadian Mountie!) he designed and made the Lanark Silver Arrow which his company in Lanark , D H McKellar of Scotland, donated to the Lanark Medieval Festival.

Ecce, I'm actually working on revamping the schiltron display, I'll fill you in on the details at Linlithgow.
