Tournament of the Phoenix 2010

Postby Gwen » Sun Oct 31, 2010 8:05 pm

Although we are across the pond, I thought some of you might enjoy seeing some photos from the 2010 Tournament of the Phoenix.

This year's event was run as a Pas d'Armes, with 3 brothers of the Order of the Crescent (Jeffrey Hedgecock, Dominic Sewell, Tobias Capwell) competing against 4 invited Challengers-

Steve R. Gagnon - Canada
Arne Koets - Holland
Jezz Smith - New Zealand
Andreas Wenzel - Germany

(Friday) Lady of Honour Kyle van Dolah competes in the Skill at Arms-

(Saturday) The Order of the Crescent takes the field for the first joust-

(Saturday) On field coolness-

(Saturday) Jeff and Darth fight it out in the pollaxe combat. This combat saw 1 concussion, a busted nose, a busted chin (both involving impressive amounts of blood), several mashed fingers, 2 black eyes, several assorted cuts and bruises and a lot of testosterone-fueled smiling from the competitors.

(Sunday) Mayhem ensues during the Club Tourney-

(Sunday) Arne is nearly overcome in the Club Tourney and the Lady of Honour gives him her protection with the Veil of Mercy-

(Sunday) A bit of humour from Toby-

(Sunday) Although scores were kept for all competitors, only the Challengers were eligible to win the Tournament, regardless of points. Andreas Wenzel was the high point Challenger and won the Tournament of the Phoenix-

I am enjoying, as instructed!

Nice one G&J

http://www.griffinhistorical.com. A delicious decadent historical trifle. Thick performance jelly topped with lashings of imaginative creamy custard. You may also get a soggy event management sponge finger but it won't cost you hundreds and thousands.
