Robin Hood

Postby Dan of Britannia » Fri Feb 12, 2010 1:05 pm

Not called 'Nottingham' anymore, just got sent this cracking image of the set at Farnham last summer from one of my lads.

Not bad for a castle that was built in a few days :o , & nice to see one that's not CGI :)

Well (apart from the bloody great fluer-de-lis shields, er - they could be stolen :$ ) you can't see their tabard livery very easily.. Dylan is obscured by his shield totally...

I should have said: "Ant is the only visible Frenchie wearing the Star Trek style red 'victim' jersey!"

Bloody Zummerzet pedant!

Look at all these French k-nig-ts

LtoR: Pius, M'brother Humbert, Old Gregg, Pete, Matt and Chris Anson

Shortly after this picture was taken, Chris Anson suffered a terrible injury, one of his legs was crushed under a French Boat and resembled a baby elephant's c0ck for days afterwards.

He sat outside the hotel with a bowl and the Welsh came from mile around to marvel at his Priapic Pachiderm's Penile appendage... many of them took such pity on him that they cast their week's wages into his begging bowl (a lovingly restored Sunny Delight container) and after a week he found himself with a small fortune of 3,000 Welsh Pounds (about 5 quid)

Just got sent this... we went to a party on the final day of the Welsh shoot & a couple of the stars were there... here's me with the giant Canadian actor Kevin Durand.
(He was in LOST, 3:10 to Yuma and more recently as Gabriel in Legion... and he's playing Little John in Robin Hood).

I'm not Locke's wheelchair... I'm some nameless person's whelchair that's taken Locke's identity, and a smoke wheelchair sometimes too...

How up to date is that!!!

I've just been reading in Empire magazine that a scene takes place at Dover was filmed in Pembrokshire with the white cliffs CGId in later. This sounded rather peculuar until I reflected that Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman walked from Dover to Old Wardour in Wiltshire (doubling for Loxley Castle) via Hadrian's wall

But that was under Nottinghamshires original Old English name Myddleanglelundshire incompassing the middle of the British isles from Woadwearinglund in the North to the Isles of Taxdodgeringdom in the south, Chorallinga and Paddylanda in the west and Garliconicafooda in the east my friend-do you know nothing of your nation's history?

I apologise for my ignorance

Always remember watching Prince of Thieves at the cinema. When Costner said "tonight we dine with my father in Notting-Ham" and I exclaimed "no you chuffing won't mate"

There’s a country in Europe where they treat their ex soldiers with pride no waits for medical treatment after injuries received during service, no amensia from the government. Cant for the life of me recall where it is but I know exactly where it is not.
