That's very cool.

We had them made on Gozo - mixture of paint and applique. I collected them in a dark carpark by the Citadella in Victoria. I felt like a drugs dealer, collecting a package and handing over a large envelope of euros.

Lovely colours may I be indulgent and post mine too? Admittedly not as big but hand painted by me!

Oh yes John. Very happy for you. Are you bringing them to Waterloo?

The colours will be there but I probably won't be this year. I'll be at Walcheren though. Hopefully we have just recruited a young guy who will be our new ensign so we will have some one to actually carry one of them.

Vacancy for a young gentleman of means to carry the other colour. Apply by PM.

Don't take your ensigns to Walcheren unless you have seasoned them in the Windies for a campaign or two. Their puny youthful constitutions aren't up to much in the way of fever. You wouldn't want any swamp on your new Colours!
