I think the LH is all at Bankton House grounds. Most of the Czech re-enactors stay on it over the whole weekend and come down and back for the ceilidh etc.
It was there the last time anyway, but it is quite a dispersed event so there may be something in the park as well.
The camp visitors seemed mainly to be in the morning up until lunch i.e. before and after the skirmish commemoration etc.
If it is Bankton you probably need someone to keep an eye on your gear if you move around as I "lost" my spare jacket last year. I left it at the LH site when we went to do the march through Prestonpans and it was gone on my return
Are you up for doing the daft double header with Falkland as well?
Cheers
Neil

Hi Neil,
I'm planning on having an easy weekend, as I've got most of the kit dry and packed away for the season. Saturday, not taking any LH kit, apart from what I'm wearing, so apart from any bits and pieces Ian wants to leave, there should be nothing left lying around. We're staying with Ian's mum, then headed up to Falkland on the Sunday, and I'm only taking the bare minimum there as well. See you there, (somewhere).

Be prepared for plenty of marching, my feet hurt and my arms and shoulders don't feel too good either.Wim-Jaap wrote: Ah well maybe next year!

Thanks all who attended....
Yes, there was a wee bit of marching involved, but over all I thought it came off really rather well. I had a superb few days and socially the event was excellent.
Bravo all, hope to see you at Derby; info to follow very soon indeed.

Enjoyed watching it as a MOP. Didn't enjoy trying to talk to Tod while the band played in The Goth. May be available as a Gentleman Gun for Hire next year if you'll have me

It was a bit loud and proud for my liking. Every time I thought they'd finished they managed to kick off my another sing-along songPhil the Grips wrote:Enjoyed watching it as a MOP. Hi Phil
I missed you...... I thought I might have glimpsed you as we marched off but I ended up on the beach with some redcoats so didn't get the chance to come along for a chat.
Did everything go okay with Lothian and Borders then if you're a gun for hire next year??
Unfortunately missed the ceilidh this year but will be up for it all again next year.
Like the fact that the man who roadied / toured with lots of the loudest bands going in his youth is complaining about a wee band in the Goth.......old age doesn't come alone
!!!
Cheers

No Tod
I don't think Phil did all of that but I knew you had. Was this music giving you grief when I was building sandcastles down on the beach with the little red men or at the ceilidh at night that my wife wouldn't let me go to....that rumour is already doing the rounds!!!
Speak to you soon because not getting back at night I never got the chance to talk to you about leather work and putting some more business your way.
Cheers
