Beltring

Post by caroline »

Hiya,

I have a few questions. Can someone help me?

When is it this year?

What the best day for re-enactmenty stuff or is it the same every day?

Also, what is the site like for getting someone who may be a bit infirm around...i.e. is it all grassy fields, is the site hilly, etc.

Cheers folks

Caroline

Hello Caroline

The events website is http://www.thewarandpeaceshow.com/

Has dates and other info. As for the best day to go, believe it or not, I have never been, never been able to afford it, you know there will be something there I just have to buy

Hi Caroline,
I received my Beltring leaflet in the post yesterday. It runs from Wednesday 19th to Sunday 23rd July. First couple of days tend to be for the serious enthusiasts & shoppers with the main displays and reenactments on the weekend. Less crowded the first couple of days but more on on the weekend. You takes your pick or do as George & Carol (who you met at the Guildford drink) do and go twice, once for shopping & once for looking. I'm thinking of going on the Wednesday as I will be off to Berkeley on the Thursday. Tickets are cheaper if you pre book. Regards access for the infirm there is disabled parking and the first stand you hit on entering is one hireing out mobility scooters. Site is vast but mainly flat.
Check out the website http://www.thewarandpeaceshow.com/

Cheers

John

Hello,
I will be going to Belters at the weekend. The weekend is probably the most busiest (to be expected) with public, re-enactors, and displays.
The week is more for those who want to buy and collect things, so normally the Thursday and the Friday is good for shopping.

I am going to do what I did two years ago, go on the Friday through to the Sunday. Fri for shopping and then the weekend for displaying.

Hope this helps :D Have a good time there!

Hi guys and gals.

I'll be at Beltring on the Monday, bit of a chill out etc before the show starts on the wednesday. Plus I will be celebrating my 18th Birthday on the tuesday. :D

Pop by the AFRA display whenever you like and say hello. :)

All the best
Tom.

I'll be just opposite the AFRA display, with a pair of little pop guns, from the 16th to the 24th.
Please feel free to stop by for a chat.

Sadly, my R.A.P. is stopping in stores again, maybe next year it will be back at Belters.

We've rebadged as R.A. for this year.

All the best,

Thats a shame. It would be nice to do an Arnhem type thing at one show, British and German medical forces working together.
