WWII Luftwaffe
For a little while I have been toying with the notion of portraying a downed Luftwaffe aircrewman, either about to be captured, or having just been captured. I would be interested in what I would need to carry off this portrayal (I have no interest in combat or obtaining a sidearm).

ooh...pricy route, the stuff is out there but with a hefty price tag. I'll point a friend who does this impression in this direction.

Not in my school there are not. Every two years WWII and Britain since the 1940's comes up, I'd like some kit for it.

Im getting together a Lufty impression at the moment..The route you are taking is quite expensive but I dont think it matters how many people are already doing it..If you need any websites on where to get some gear let me know...

Re: WWII Luftwaffe
I've gone for early years Heer now, part of the 14th Infantry Division that got mauled by Belgian/BEF troops during the evacuation at Dunkirk. I've also found out that Lydiard Park was used as a POW camp (Camp 106) from 1940-1944 and housed "low risk" Italian and German POW's many of whom used to work the gardens of local residents, especially the elderly! They were greatly missed when they were moved on in 1944 to make way for US troops. Nor did I realise that many of the Italian families that have long established roots in Swindon were originally men who had decided to come back to Swindon after the war. What the feck were they thinking?

Re: WWII Luftwaffe
There are few WW2 aviator reenactors who look "complete" because a Spitfire or Fokke Wulfe (etc) gets expensive and hard to store in a suburban family home. Having a "Crashed" one introduces all sorts of sharp edges fro risk assessment.
