I thought some Victorian living historians might be interested in the Workhouse Study Day happening on Saturday 22nd June 2013 at Weaver Hall Museum in Northwich, (housed in the old Northwich Union Workhouse).
The workhouse cast a long shadow over many people's lives in the mid-late 19th century and so I think it could be very useful opportunity to anyone portraying this era. There are some great experts coming along, not least Peter Higginbotham who runs the excellent website http://www.workhouses.org.uk and it's a bit of a bargain at £15 for the full day including lunch.
I've posted more details on the events announcement section forums/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=32621
