Victorian martial arts in Ealing, London

Postby Matt Easton » Wed Jan 12, 2011 11:56 am

Hi all,

Schola Gladiatoria has been teaching historical weapon-based martial arts in Ealing for 10 years now and in late 2009 we introduced Victorian infantry officer's sabre to our regular classes. In conjunction with this we will also be adding occasional sessions on sword versus bayonet and bayonet versus bayonet.

Currently we alternate from week to week between medieval longsword (based on Fiore dei Liberi, 1410) and Victorian officer's sabre (based on John Musgrave Waite, 1880), with occasional sessions in other related weapons.

If you'd like to give military sabre fencing a go then feel free to come down - we train every Tuesday from 7.45pm. Ealing is easy to get to from the M25, M3, A4, M4, A40, M40 and North Circular (A406), as well as being Zone 3 on the Piccadilly, District and Central lines of the Tube.
