Queen Anne shopkeeper's costume

Could some kind soul point me in the direction of a costuming resource online for a female shopkeeper c.1714. I've found a book image I like but the source isn't given. I'm particularly interested in the head wear as I have yet to find another image of the hat the lady is wearing, and I rather like it.

Post the picture up and we'll have a look.

It's taken a while to get to grips with the technology, so I hope the picture I'm using as inspiration comes out. Unfortunately all the pictures in the book are redrawn and references are not cited. However I do recognise some of the images for earlier periods so think original sources have been used.

That looks a lot later than 1690 (or 1714) to me, or possibly the artist has misunderstood a line drawing, difficult to tell. The hat looks like nothing I've seen from this early.

You could do worse than taking a look at Marcellus Laroon's Cries of London, first published 1680ish, but lots of the plates were republished in the 1720s.

I'd agree it looks nothing like anything I've seen for the early 18th century.

I'd be inclined to say they've labelled it 100 years too early.
The hat is erring on Regency styling so this would fit. Hopefully one of the many milliners on here will be able to assist better?

Thanks for the feedback. I've since found a thread in Friends and Gossip from May 2013 with some good period pictures and a pattern for a modest fontage cap on www.pyracy.com.
I'm using Janet Arnold's pattern for the mantua and a pattern in Cut My Cote taken from an extant 18th century chemise.

This is how it turned out in the end. As ever, last minute panic despite my best intentions, so the mantua was wearable but not quite finished. The bodice needs more fitting. I went for a flat cap as no time to make a fontage.
