Scottish 17th century doublet

I thought people might be interested to know that a genuine 1620s doublet that was handed in to Perth Museum (in a plastic bag!) and underwent an extensive programme of conservation won an award last night at the Conservation Awards in London.

The original doublet, made of white silk, can be seen at Perth Museum and is exquisite apparently. You can also handle a replica of the doublet! :D

If I rightly remember, thats the one that Ninya Mikhaila was asked to study and make the replica for! It is rather lovely.
