Are you specifically aiming for the Knights Templar?

There are a number of established 12th century societies (Conquest, Crusade, The Feudals, Historia Normannis) but if you want to concentrate solely on the military orders, you could have some problems

There is a Hospitaller group (The Knights Hospitaller of Warwickshire) who are very good, but there is no Templar group as far as I know (the headache being that there is no record of any military order ever fighting in any battle in this country) - the Knights Hospitaller only give displays of Knights combat training.

Crusade occasionaly give displays of battles against Saracens, and they have members who portray Knights Templar for those events
