15th C pliers

I don't know much about tools in the 15th Century, but I'm assuming they had something akin to pliers - pliers are such a useful tool that I can't believe they haven't existed for centuries, if not millennia! Does anyone know who/where to source some 15th C pliers (or something akin), please?

Pliers, or at least their longer cousins tongs, can be traced back to the iron age.
Have you tried googling 'Medieval armourer' or looking up armouring books on Amazon?
I have some sources somewhere, and can dig them out if you're interested?
Failing that, I'm sure there's a smith at TORM who makes pliers for a reasonable price.

Red Dog Forge made some bespoke pliers for me to use for my leatherwork reenactment tool kit.

You know what, Steven, that's just what I want them for too!
Thanks for the advice, all!

Hope you don't mind my enquiring Lucy, but I tried to look at Jason's website after meeting him at the ILHF and I couldn't access it. do you know if there has been a problem with his website at all?
He had some really good stock at the fair and I was hoping to get a better look at what he is working on.

Try
http://www.wielandforge.co.uk/index.php/site/
it is working for me OK, and perfectly happy to be asked Bydand, Jason is a friend, and a brilliant craftsman, happy to send anyone his way for both reasons.

Link works for me too
But it's very slow loading...don't know if it's the web page or my computer slowing it down.

He made mine years ago, they are better than my modern ones and exactly what I ordered. I'd also recommend Wieland Forge who has made some fantastic items for me recently.
