Livery motif is as displayed & is a section from the Owain Glyndwr flag.
The persona is of a mercenary working for Glyndwr.
Full livery is a red & yellow quartered tabard, with contrasting red & yellow rampant lions in each quarter.
Not as posh as many of you,......... but I get by!
If you see me on the field, please remember ....................... I bruise easily!

Midlands (aka Panzers)
Red and Black with Crossed Keys. Normally worn on a Bende over plate but some livery for the light Infantry types
SE (aka Artillery)
Green and Black
Blue and Black with a Martlet (white on Black badge), Three Martlets when playing the Arundel household. (or should that be black and blue for the pbi?)
Livery Coats arnt normally worn, its more a colour theme that we stick to mostly. (we was given the cloth you know). Some members where both Martlet and Crossed Keys badges (helps avoid friendly fire) and a token of whichever side we're on at the time and any personal badges.

I don't have a picture handy, but the Howards livery is a white lion rampant facing dexter on a red field. There is a blue mullet on the lion (without that you're a Mowbry).
As far as I know, this livery is used by the Howards Household (AKA Knights In Battle) from Sheffield (to which I belong) as well as the Howards Retenue from Doncaster.
The Household don't do too many battles, usually just Tewkesbury and some EMA do's, while the Retinue are part of the Fed so get out a bit more
We also get out occasionaly in our 13th C guise, where we each wear our own livery as we appear as knights. Our usual Captain for these is Sir Adam (silver griffin rampant on a green field), while I usually wear a black engrailed saltir on a white field.

The Company of Dawn Duellists (CoDDs) have a livery of Gulle a Cross Sable. This is because:
1. We like red and black.
2. The black cross on red is supposedly a symbol of St Margeret of Scotland. An important Saint in our part of the world.
3. Did I mention liking black and red?

When it snaps?

Ian never bring a sword to a bill fight
Posted: Thu Mar 23, 2006 6:14 pm
Aw, go on, do please!!
Actually, depends on how you can use a bill, if all you can do is thrust it at people, then you are a bit b******d when you face the lone swordsman, if however, you can use it away from your bill unit, the swordsman could be in for a bit of a suprise....
Posted: Thu Mar 23, 2006 6:34 pm
And if swordsmen come up against a bill line, who has got the reach?
Mind you I prefer bow ranges personally.
Red and Black forever.
