its a bonified 15th century tactic, i believe....*flicks furiously through large tombs on medieval tactics*....AH YES! its here under "advance in the style of the italians" also see "the only order the stafford line knows....charge, or, the lets see how many dukes we can lose this year competition" also see "advance in the style of the stanleys aka sit on a fence until you're sure who's winning and then commit" also see "nev- how many people can i insult in one post"

Heads you live...tails you die.

Insult, be buggered! We Stanleys are proud of our fence-sitting skills.
I am one of the spinach and mushroom coloured Tommy Stanleys, as opposed to my Moosical brethren who are Willies.
Unless I've got it all *rse about face again.
We all like cocktails, particularly the purple ones and the ones that look like sick.

In the CoC (Company of Chivalry) we used to use the phrase "Putius Duras" as a war cry.
It was meant to mean "Well Hard" which it does in way... The first part is "Well" as in "thing you draw water from"

for myself i'm thinking of having something on my tent either "meum est propositum in taberna mori"-it is my fondest hope to die in an inn
or
"silent leges inter arma"- In war the law is silent
and possibly carved onto my bill "sic transit gloria mundi" so passes the glory of the world
and to finish part of my new speech at my enemies i shall be quoting scripture "i will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that have behold thee"- ezekial 27:13

Already on the tent
"Thou art mine axe, mine weapon of war, with thee I will level nations and destroy kingdoms"
nuff said
Another popular one for all the weaponsmiths
"Ask not if I come with the Peace of the Lord, I come with the sword"

Away from the battle all are soldiers.
