Made to measure Secrete / secret / scullcap

Postby Dave B » Fri Apr 15, 2011 11:11 am

I want one thats a nice close fit to the head to wear under a hat.

It's for marshalling / gunning etc so it doesn't need a lot of padding room, it's only for stray shots. Nor does it want to be particularly pretty as it will probably have a hat over all the time. It does need to be nicely made and fitted though

Non of the ones I can find 'off the peg' fit my head at all, they are too round. the GDFB one that fits onto my head is huge side to side.

any reccomendation who would make me a nice one for not too many pennies?

Dave.

Definitely interested. In fact at that sort of price I might be interested in getting a couple for our lot, for water carriers and the like.

anyone got any pictures?

Dave.

I was thinking I could do with one of these as well. Very interested at that price.

That is a nice price, what sort of measurements would be needed?

Phil

I'd be interested too, I sense a plan forming! Nothing fancy for me, as with Dave i'd be covering it anyway.
Keeping tabs on this with interest!

In my mind Adam has a great eye for the period, the best in re-enactment and collecting circles at that price range. I'm having a set of cavalry stuff off him and am looking forward to getting something that will stand up to close scrutiny, which seems to be hard to find in the 17th cent era from what I can tell.

http://www.griffinhistorical.com. A delicious decadent historical trifle. Thick performance jelly topped with lashings of imaginative creamy custard. You may also get a soggy event management sponge finger but it won't cost you hundreds and thousands.
