Where is it?

Postby John Waller » Thu Oct 09, 2008 12:46 pm

Some years ago I came upon some info on the web regarding a medieval tower somewhere in Europe (France perhaps?) that was stuffed full of tens of thousands of crossbow bolts left there since the C15th/C16th.

Can anyone help me out as to where this is?

towards the middle, but off on one side a bit, the left I think, hey that could be fun, and on topic as well, lets get a map of germany, a crossbow and play golden shot with Marcus calling out the left/right bit :o

Well it is a big country. I cycled there once and it looked quite big.
If you could narrow it down to the tower in question that would be good.

My grandfather used to say he flew there once in 1944, but he didn't stop.

[This is a lie. My grandfather said no such thing, he was not in the RAF, and I'm not sure if he ever went to Germany, flying or otherwise.]

Well I tell people that to impress. I was actually on holiday in the Netherlands at the time and the ride was about 3 miles.
