Re: WW2 British Group

You're probably best heading over to www.wwiireenacting.co.uk or any of the facebook WW2 groups. Or pop along to W&P in Kent from the 16th July to meet some of the groups and do a bit of shopping.

wooden bowls and utensils-looking for links

Nothing to do with living history, but I'm looking for links to traders making wooden bowls/spoons/forks. This is as a response to a query on 'The Green parent' as an alternative to plastic/silicon bowls. If anyone makes this sort of thing. please post your links and I'll share on their FB page. Mig...

Are you looking for ready made or a pattern or just inspiration? What age/rough size is she? Does she already have the underpinnings to go with it? (cage and corset plus chemise and petticoats?) Let me know, oh and what part of the country. If you're looking to have one made, I can recommend a few p...

Re: My left hand is not my right hand

I was born in 1973, my sisters were 10 and 11 years older than me. I was the first child in the family 'allowed' to write with my left hand. My writing is appalling, unless I use a fountain pen! It was very much frowned upon to allow children to use their left hands..I can see why when I use a dip p...

Are you looking for people to participate? We are down that way that week anyway so might be able to get a few 1930s people together who all sew.

Depends what you want it for and what standard of authenticity.

Steve Kiddles Battledress is excellent and he's based here in the UK.

A lot of people don't rate Jerry at WPG's kit, some of it's ok/

They won't be free to wander up and down steep hill etc, they are introducing a one way system. If you're trading you might want to look into this. If you search on the Look North website, ...
